Onyx (Lux Novel)

Onyx - Jennifer L. Armentrout Wooh!Glad to get this out off my chest. I never thought I'd get this far of the series since I didn't actually consider it in the first place, but I'm glad as hell I did.Onyx was what I thought to be as a sequel. And so much more. First off, around 90% of the book was so freaking hilarious that looking back I never thought I didn't like Daemon in Obsidian, but then he practically grew into me. The continuing the saga of the Katy-Daemon love/hate dilemma was so fun to read which I thought the whole book would be all about them getting up each other's grill, was very pleasant and cute - not too romantic - but very touchy nonetheless. Everything else considered, the story was thoroughly developed with a new set of characters that I was really looking forward to. A lot has happened since book one, with Katy having this new set of aura around aside from her sterling disposition and classic wit. Then comes a "new" kid in town whom with a character that never gets old - is highly suspicious. With Daemon trying to figure out this whole awesomeness that builds up inside Katy, this new guy - Blake - wants to get into action and help her out too. From there, all things are happening. The drama, the suspense, and the horror rolled into one. Then comes something which really wasn't a surprise: The characters we've been dreading has finally come out of the closet. I wound't say I have everything figured out when I know they'd appear eventually, but the author really did a good job with them. Did a very great work for this part of the story. Ohh! and I forgot to mention, I didn't see that one coming. Poor Adam :(I understand katy's dubiousness toward liking and not-liking Daemon. But girl, your absurdness had just got to stop. It's freaking right in front of your face. Sometimes I want to whack you out with something but thought you'll get to it eventually. But I digress.Okay, so the whole book was kinda predictable the more you read through it, but it was totally enjoyable. I must say this series is really getting somewhere and I hope it doesn't stop. And I hope there are a lot of Daemon to come around.Daemon. He brought a new meaning to a smart-ass/jerk face/full of himself/alien kind despite his frequent annoying smirk. I never thought I'd say this but, yes, I would let you keep an eye on me, Daemon. “I don’t know what tomorrow is going to bring, what a year from now is going to be like. Hell, we may end up killing each other over something stupid next week. It’s a possibility. But all I do know is what I feel for you isn’t going anywhere.” Honestly, he's a major reason why I loved Onyx. EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS PURE AWESOME. Now that I thought about it, I think the author is a nerdfighter with the constant reference of being awesome. Not sure how long I wanna wait for Opal but I hope it comes soon enough. The ending right there has me anticipating for more.xx
