Truth: Consequences #2

Truth - Aleatha Romig So I finished this and I was like: Yes! Every guesses and thoughts and revelations just boils down to that one person. "Everyone knows the game of chess requires planning and strategizing. Making moves too quickly often proves lethal for the offending piece."I guess it's safe to say that I misjudged Claire in the first book. That I question her lack of actions and decisions for herself when she is very capable of getting out of the mess. But then I realized, nothing really gets away of Anthony "freaking" Rawlings! So how did I go from 3 stars for [b:Consequences|12368985|Consequences (Consequences, #1)|Aleatha Romig|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1350233855s/12368985.jpg|17349258] to a staggering 5 stars for [b:Truth|16070018|Truth (Consequences, #2)|Aleatha Romig|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1350850013s/16070018.jpg|21863110]? THIS:Everything about this series is just pure genius!TRUTH continues after Claire's imprisonment for false accusations and deception in which she was blamed for a crime she had not committed. Everything which follows through was so much drama, mystery and a whole lot of thrill. This was just a whole another level of awesome. It truly changes the way I look at the characters now than I had before. Some I come to grow attach to, others stir the heck out of me, whether I want to believe they are up to no good or to think otherwise. The great addition to the characters were so amazing that you just gotta love 'em all! This second book would surely fill you up and leave you wanting for more (I'm sure I do). I want more answers, more confusions, more climax, and more Tony. "When it comes to Tony, I've learned the best way to be prepared, is to expect everything and nothing." I've never admired Tony as much as I loved him now. I probably didn't mention my discomfort of him at first but I've grown to his character. Like Claire, I have trouble identifying which Tony was which since he seem to have different agenda under his sleeve. One moment he was the man you want to own then having the urge in beating his crap senseless the next. I know he's one ultimate alpha male -- the uber controlling, very possessive, and totally incredible piece of meat -- yet he never fail to amuse me and arouse and excite 'til my heart can't take no more. He hes this effect which I cannot defy, feeling so strong that I cannot control. He always has a soft spot in me no matter how sometimes I can't handle his domineering ways. "I think it was a game to both of you, a real life chess game. Every move you make he countered. In order to get his king, you sacrificed your queen, a bold move. One I believe will work. But at what cost?"Personally, I think despite what they've been through, somehow I keep rooting for Claire and Tony because honestly, nobody could measure the extent of the world they were subjected to. Nobody could really define one without the other so...yeah, I like them so much. You see, one cannot just stay upset of Tony because he's also very compassionate underneath it all. Other thing I might not have mentioned was the fact that it's been so long since I've read something that could bring about emotions wherein not knowing I am capable of expressing. Every feeling from pure joy to astounding, thrilling excitement to the lack of compassion. And I love the use of metaphors for this one, and more importantly about how closely Truth pictures the game of Chess. How amazing the author, [a:Aleatha Romig|5131072|Aleatha Romig|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1313970662p2/5131072.jpg], did to this series was beyond ones capability. Really, all I can say is she is one brilliant writter. She creates a very masterful world were action speaks louder than words, and the people are just a mere pawn that can be dominated to someone above them. It was such a worth of 3 days and 800+ pages(on my reader)read! I can't quite recall how long since a book had me so excited and messed up. One of the most thrilling series that you just can't put down. This series just keeps getting better and better. I've never thought, in the life of me, that this was going to be the death of me. You guys, I seriously swear this will keep you on your toes! "All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered. The trick is to discover them."xx
